Going Into 2021 With Confident Faith

As we wrap up the end of this year, I hope you are scribbling down your hopes, dreams, and visions for 2021. Don’t take any baggage that hindered you in 2020 into 2021. Let it go. You can move into 2021 with a greater expectation of a greater era. God has great things in store for you and sometimes the only thing hindering it is us.
God is still God and we need those things that are really going to ground us. This is not the time to be transplanted and change churches but this is the time for you to put your roots into the word of God, the power of God, prayer, fasting and begin to share your vision. The scripture says in Habakkuk 2:2, “Write your vision and make it plain.” What are your hopes as you go into the year 2021? This year we are sure we are going to be in a pandemic. Last year it caught us off guard. We didn’t go into the pandemic until March. God will be our counsel in the midst of chaos and confusion. What do you see? I talked about the importance of having a journal and writing notes down even if it is just one word. What is it that God is calling you to do?
Change is challenging and some churches or people do not grow because they do not adjust to change. Open yourself up and say, “Lord, will you help me to change, because you are a God that is consistent and you change not. That same power that you have that you don’t change, you give me that anointing so I can change and go into the year 2021.” What do we need to empty out of our phones…whose phone number? We want the Lord for direction to unpack the luggage that needs to be unpacked and leave that luggage in 2020 because it is hindering us from going forward. Some of the things are hindering us from our childhood. “Forgetting those things that are behind and reaching forth to those things that are ahead, I press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). You can’t get ‘that’ until you deal with ‘this’. Sometimes dealing with this means you have to let things go. Let that thing go so you can embrace the new, press in and go forward in the name of the Lord. You have to say, ‘I’m not going to live my life in chaos.’ Lord, help me be more patient, to be more on time, and help this be a year where I learn how to deal with whatever comes my way.
The God that we serve is a Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, and this God who is Jesus will never leave you, this God will never forsake you and this God will carry us through. I want you to be encourage and keep the faith knowing that God is God. Lord, help me to let go and help me to embrace what I need to embrace. Lord, help me to let go of control where I need to let go of control and help me to accept me for me. Help me to let go of what is hindering me so I can embrace all that you have for me. Stay the course, keep your vision, keep the faith, keep your song, keep your prayer life, keep your trust in the Lord. “Trust in the Lord with all your might and do not lean on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:4-5). We can put our absolute trust in God during the midst of a prevailing pandemic. People will fall away and not finish with you but God is with you. You go on, stay the course and be encouraged. Don’t get caught up in foolishness. Don’t allow people throwing shade to stop you. You have got to move forward and up and understand that nothing is impossible with God. God will carry you through, God will take you through and make a way for you as you stay the course, stay focused and you will get to your destination by and by. Be encouraged.
