Rest Assured: You Have Been Equipped To Face These Turbulent Times

This is a very critical time in our nation. So many issues to process in this strange and violent time: the social unrest, voter suppression, rising COVID cases, the season of deception, our fractured and racially polarized society…. It is more than a LOT to handle.
Anxiety, for so many, seems to be the order of the day. Many are asking “How long, O Lord?”… “How much more?!”
Yet I want to assure you that we have been equipped by God for this trial. Like Brother Lloyd shared the other day:
“Any tests that you encounter, ultimately means that you’ve been prepared before the test, so that you can pass the test. Test typically aren’t given blindly without you having any level of preparation. The educators that might be there, prepare their students to have tests. Even if the test is a pop test, a pop quiz, you still had been given the opportunity to know the material before the test is given. So, rest assured that God has equipped you, that God has poured into you every good measure, so that you and I can pass every test that that’s before us.”
But just like students, we can get anxious when we face our test. It is natural that we as storms arise, our emotions rise too. But here is what we must remember…. Psalm 94:19 tells us: “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
In spite of the troubles of these difficult days, our GREAT GOD yet lives, rules, and reigns! God gives us consolation in the midst of it all. There is another side of all of this: God will make the crooked places straight and give us grace to face these times.
It is not the will of God that you fall by the wayside. Wake up and pray. Read your Bible. Make sure you got a song in your spirit. Allow God to strengthen your heart. Be of good courage. It is His strength and grace that has prepared us for these difficult times.
Trust in the Lord. Hold onto your faith. Expect brighter days!
